    Don't go for NDB Bank Sri Lanka

    I applied loan from this bank and at the initial process I requested not to issue the credit card that they grant with the loan. but they avoided my request without informing me and after a year when they requested annual fee only I know that they have issued me a credit card without knowing me.. once I paid the annual fee they used to call and request different fees for that inactive card without giving a proper reason. they are like theives.

    NOT RECOMMENDING THIS BANK TO ANYONE FOR ANY BANKING TRANSACTION. Worst bank in Sri Lanka. Specially credit cards. The person who promotes credit card hide some information at the time of issuing it. No SMS alert with credit card due payment due date. Then add late payment fee. At the time of activation the officer confirmed that there is a cash back offer. But, when contact call centre it doesn’t show in their system and say something else. After more than 30 minutes waiting time on line, confirmed that I am eligible for that offer and promised me to adjust it in the next credit card statement. Finally, got the credit card statement without adjusting that cash back offer. Now called customer care again and they repeat the same bullshit. What an irresponsible bank? what a careless customer care? Totally disappointed.
    Other thing is NEOS app. We have to download the app on our mobile phone. We have to use the app by using our data. Then we have to pay some considerable amount as their app maintenance charges. All the other banks are giving their apps for free to customers. What a shame? Don’t you have enough money to pay salaries of your employees? Please don’t do cheap things.

    Worst bank ever

    I paid upfront a credit card balance. I settled it early because it was just 10000 spent on shopping. and I have missed just 300. and for that they have kept on charging late payment fee. while I have been inquiring from the bank, with their horribly slow and unresposnsive customer service, it has added up to 7000 within 4 months, and they say they cant reverse it…
    this is the worst bank I have ever dealt with

    Worst bank ever.Hiddenly this bank taking money from online payments we are doing for their own bank.they didn’t update our account and telling we didn’t done our monthly payment for credit card.until we calling them and telling them they didn’t follow any thing.customer care also worst customer service.they holding call for 15 mins.

  6. Had a worst experience with NDB ATM in Thimbirigasyaya today. I wanted to withdraw cash from a visa card and after inserting the card the ATM shut down and the card didn’t come out. I called NDB Thimbirigasyaya branch and the person answered was not supportive at all. I had to cancel my card. Customer service was disappointing. In the first place if the ATM is not properly working please leave a notice at the ATM saying its not working. Otherwise people will be in trouble.

  7. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a bank.

    After I made an online money transfer, the amount was transferred again by the bank and although it was completely the bank’s fault, the bank still failed to return the amount to me. It has been seven days since I complained about it and I have been reminded about it daily but there was no result.

    Very poor customer service by Customer care of NDB Bank

    This is a very bad experience I had with NDB Customer care… totally careless. I had pumped petrol in a petrol shed on 2nd November 2022. Thay tryied to take the payment first time and it was not success. And tried second time and it was success. But they have deducted 2 times same amount. I did not see it because it takes few minutes to send the message. Once I came home O received the message with mentions payment has ddeducted 2 times. I suddenly went to the petrol shed and ckear from their side that they did not received the money 2 times. I just contacted NDB HOTLINE and they confirmed 2 dedications and they said that they will contact the petrol shed or relevent bank and pay back the money. I got calls two times and they said that they will send back to me. but today took a call for another need (unfortunately it also was a complain) and I asked it from the telephone operator (Raj) and he said that they have closed the complain after send me a mail on 7th January 2023. ( I did the cocomplain on 2nd November as thay said they have reply me on 7th January) but I have not received any e-mail on that day.

    Finally telephone operator (Raj) said that thay have called to the HNB bank (card machine the petrol shed use from HNB) and thay said that ” that transaction was is correct because they have given the service for both payments. I am really unsatisfied about their customer service. At least thay had to call me and tell. I do not recommend any one to start at least a savings account with NDB. too poor service…
