    Worst Bank in Sri Lanka

    Bad customer service. They gave our numbers and residence address to thugs when we are late two months to pay. just like vehicle leasing company.

    Payment trasfer

    I encountered Payment issue, and despite multiple attempts to address it with the bank, No one willing to listen and resolve it.
    What’s more concerning is the lack of ownership and accountability from the FriMi/ Nation Trust Bank side. It’s disheartening to feel like my concerns are being brushed aside.

    I appreciate that problems can occur, but a responsible institution should take ownership of those issues and work towards finding a solution. Unfortunately, that hasn’t been the case here. Instead of feeling valued as a customer, I’ve been left with a sense of frustration and dissatisfaction. i felt ashamed being a customer for more a 6 years, There are other private banks who value you.

  4. I live in UK. Came to Sri Lanka to buy a property and opened account with NTB Galle Road. Transferred funds from UK bank which was converted into lkr by NTB to a lowest exchange rate to my dismay. Asked repeatedly if that was the best that they could do not knowing the way the banks function here. Later found out that the rate they gave was 7 rupees less than commercial bank in converting £75,000. Commercial advised that NTB should compensate me but NTB assistant manager Parthipan Vivekanandan refused to do that but promised that for the future conversions he would give ‘2 rupees more than the commercial’s special rate’ and convinced me to stay with that promise. Another £10,000 came within few days (yesterday) and I checked with commercial’s special rate and visited Ntb. The same guy refused to give what he promised and offered 3 rupees less than commercial’s normal rate. Wasted my time, false promises and appalling rates. The bank is always empty with no customers. Beware.

  5. Sad to note the negative reviews about NTB here. At one time they were the best in customer service. The HR Dept. put in a lot of effort to train staff in this area. It is the Managent’s fault that they keep putting a lot of pressure on staff to achieve targets and while the focus is on quantity, quality suffers.

    Terrible customer service. Its NTB nations terrible bank. My personal loan installment due on10 they ask to pay on 05. I never elapsed a installment by a day. They better to begging rather than doing a banking.

    SCAMMERS AND VERY POOR SERVICE FROM THE FINANCE AND CUSTOMER SUPPORT

    I made a purchase with sinhagiri.lk with good faith and ended up being charged full payment instead of instalment plan for 12 months, which provided by NTB on behalf of AMEX? AMEX is known worldwide and a bank I never had an issue with for last 8 years but used only once with SRI LANKAN bank and had plentiful for life. When raised the issue to merchant they admitted that I have made purchase correctly for instalment plan 12 months but payment proceed in full in an error ?? that was a month ago, since then SINHAGIRI passing ball to NTB and NTB pass it back to SINHAGIRI for a month and said there s nothing they can do. Then why did they took full payment ? Did nt they aware of how AMEX work ? Because of their error why would customer suffer and losing money? NTB bastards told that I made payment purposely to take advantage ? WTF I have been chasing my ass off to get this sorted wasting my time just because of their error. Never trust this bank or Sinhagiri.lk both doesnt know how their system works or look after their customers just ripping off whenever they can plus when an issue arises passing it to here and there never bothered to solve it in timely manner. I am a person already disappointed with Sri Lankan fxxx banks and their service and thank you for refreshing that disgusting experience again. Safraz Razeek @ NTB thank you for being useless and a pain in the back side you are good at not taking care of customers and being a dickhead. Nirosha @ Sinhagiri you are painless piece of shit I wish you both very bad future and stop ripping off people unlike you we all are making money out of our hard work not just sitting and emailing once a day !! I would never ever use Nations fxxx no trust bank or Sinhagiri ever !!
