    It’s better to teach discipline to the staffs who are working in HNB rather than spend time on other promotinal activities because the staff of HNB is really non-professional. Specially those who are working in back office of WTC branch. They don’t know how to behave to the stakeholders. Once before I saw that one customer scolded the front staff because of the error that made by the staff. I think that the back officers make customers as jokers and treat them in a unofficial manner. As a customer I really disappointed with their service and all.

    NOT RECOMMENDED

    I will never recommend HNB bank for a loan services.
    I do have loans and credit card payments in other banks as well. But I have never ended up paying extra 10k or 20k such as overdue payment.
    The HNB online system is the shitiest thing. When you inquire also, they give diferent stories each time.

    Hi everyone,

    I am talking here for all the clients who have lost money through online programs for side hustle.
    I have noticed many people has deposited money to HNB, and have lost them. What I see is HNB is supporting all these online frauds to continue their services and move through by being the best banker in Sri Lanka. However they do not see the future picture of this.

    Most of these crooks have been sharing HNB bank account details and HNB does not value their standards as a banker. We trust a bank thinking our money will be safe, but I am sure, HNB is also one of the fraud companies in Sri Lanka even though they are certified by the central bank.

    No one is liable, when you call the center. I know we cannot do anything, but there should be at least a fraud service to help these people to get back the money. Even the police do no help on these. On Derena when it is requested to contact the cyber security, they are also not helpful when call. Either all these 3 parties are involved in this fraud.

    Inefficiency seems to be a norm at HNB

    HNB does not provide a good banking service. Their e-banking system is unreliable. Even their customer service telephone hotline shuts down as soon as you get to the point that telephone rings. Their staff delay fund transfers, do not answer telephone calls and ignore emails. When they do respond, the communication is confusing and ambiguous. They give the impression that there is no proper communication system in place, no staff training. My husband experienced very shabby service recently and so I googled HNB complaints to see if it was a norm, and found this and other sites with various complaints about services, some similar to what we experienced in the past week and others worse. It gives me the impression that HNB doesn’t care and a happy to bumble along with other people’s money. Not a bank to recommend to anyone.

  6. I am a HNB customer since 1999 and rely heavily on e banking. HNB recently upgraded their Ebanking website.Since then I have no access to my accounts.
    HNB didn’t inform customers about the possible effects of thiis upgrade.
    Now I can’t acces my accounts for last two weeks.
    Customer care department is useless and they never care our issues.
    HNB is a ridiculous and stupid bank.

    I’m trying to log on for a week but they have entered my mobile number incorrectly with few zeros to country cord, call customer service many time , no support at all, I never recommended HNB to anyone

    since yesterday evening i am trying contact service agent dial more than 20 minute no one came only recording
    wast of my money this very unfiar .
    at least toll free number. really disapoint .of call center service .
