    Very Bad service

    I started using a Mobitel sim five years ago, data, calls and internet speed are all good. But now it doesn’t matter, the data speed has also decreased, there is no speed even though there is a package called nonstop, the new combo package also offers free youtube for 7 days, but you get 1GB, only when you have it. They destroyed the name of Mobitel by joining with the crap called slt. I no longer need your services.

    What they don't tell you.

    Visiting a country as a tourist and spending some much needed $ for the economy only to be treated like a dog by Mobitel.

    Firstly they declined all my bank cards because they weren’t local, after which I paid a local at the hotel cash for them to transfer money to my Mobitel account.
    The amount transferred was the exact amount listed for the plan I wanted. When I tried to activate I was told insufficient funds, apparently you need to maintain a small balance ignorer to activate, where does it explain this in the app? that’s right it doesn’t.

    As we are talking 20r you’d think customer service could do something about it, this isn’t about me not wanting to spend 20r it’s the fact that it was impossible to get the money into the account without having to go begging to a local again.

    I’m here spending thousands on a vacation, staying at resort that is 10km away from the nearest shops relying on my mobile sim to keep connected and yet they flatly refused to activate the plan, refused to credit the account with just 20r so I could activate it myself.

    Their treatment will be a strong consideration next time I’m planning a vacation.

    Poor connection

    really poor connection . Im really dissatisfied with the coverage. all of your service is not worth for the money .not recommend to anyone .

    Poor coverage

    There is no difference between the coverage in my village in Manikhinna – Kandy and in Rajagiriya – Colombo. This is a ‘Mobile’ network and the coverage provided by Mobitel makes the definition of ‘Mobile’ questionable. Even in Colombo, we need to go to certain spots inside the house to make or receive a call via Mobitel. I fail to contact my mother on her mobile half the time. Frankly, the service is terrible. We used to place our trust in this network but now we are extremely disappointed in Mobitel for the ‘primitive’ state it is still in when it comes to coverage.

    Poorest Connection In Sri Lanka

    This is not how I expected this from Mobitel, where it takes more than a minute to load a page like Google, Instagram. I did activate Social Combo Package for 30days. This is uttermost worse network. I couldn’t finish a single reel facing too much buffer. This is not happening 1 or 2 point signals, it’s 5/5. Mobitel is supposed take serious action regarding this network issue or else your entire network will fall soon if you didn’t take any action ASAP.
